A fine and rare gold and tortoiseshell mounted Violin Bow by Otto Hoyer "Pariser" of Markneukirchen, Germany. Round stick, made of dark golden-coloured pernambuco. The bow is in excellent condition, with some slight mite damage to the tortoiseshell, and a very beautiful example of the makers work.

History & Provenance

Otto Hoyer was the most technically accomplished maker of this big family. He claimed to have worked for Sartory, and gave himself the nickname of "Pariser" implying that his work was rather more French than German.
