Mounted in silver and ebony with plain frog. This bow is a completely unique bow from the contemporary genius, modelled with inspiration from Eury. An amazing collectors piece, in mint condition today, and numbered 334 in his books.
History & Provenance
Benoit Rolland, the distinguished French bow maker, is celebrated for his innovative approach and exceptional craftsmanship. Trained in both violin making and bow making at the prestigious Mirecourt school, Rolland's career flourished once he establish his studio in Rue de Laborde, Paris in 1976. He has moved to many places throughout his career, Island Brehat, and Boston. His bows are renowned for their exquisite balance, responsiveness, and tonal qualities, earning him a reputation as one of the foremost contemporary bow makers. Rolland's dedication to research and development has led to numerous advancements in bow design and technology, cementing his legacy as a visionary in the field of string instrument craftsmanship.
